Godzilla vs. Evangelion 4D Attraction To Open This May at Universal Japan

Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4D opens in Universal Japan at the end of this May.

Universal Studios Japan’s newest attraction, Godzilla vs. Evangelion: The Real 4D, comes to life on May 31st, 2019 through August 25, 2019. This interactive ride is set in Osaka-III (derived from Tokyo-III of Neon Genesis Evangelion), and features the mecha of the Evangelion anime series as they face off with Godzilla himself.

The audience views the attraction through the eyes of government inspectors, who are viewing the city from above. However, when Godzilla appears on the scene, Evangelion anime characters Asuka, Shinji, and Rei are dispatched in their mobile mecha suits to confront the kaiju in battle.

The ride itself is 20 minutes long, and features a pre-show for the audience. Additionally, exclusive merchandise will be available to park-goer’s for a limited time, including cookies and Godzilla/EVA-01 fusion popcorn buckets.
