The cast of the latest Ultraman show share unique experience at fan event.

Tsuruno Takeshi, who played Shin Asuka/Ultraman Dyna, in the 1997 Ultraman TV series, appeared with the rest of the Ultraman Orb the Origin Saga cast at an event held in Tokyo’s Sunshine City on December 26th.

Tsuruno mentioned that next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Ultraman Dyna, which was met with vigorous applause. Taiyou Sugiura, who played Musashi/Ultraman Cosmos, who is in the show, also mentioned it has been 15 years since Cosmos and that he is very happy to be among his juniors this time around.

Saki Fukuda, who plays the queen of the royal planet of Kanon in the series, revealed that she shook hands with “Dyna” himself, Tsuruno Taskeshi, when she was in elementary school, an experience that always left an impression on her. Tsuruno Takeshi remarked that he’s heard of many tokusatsu stars shaking hands with their costumed heroes as children but never imagined he would be in a show with someone who shook hands with Dyna as a child.

Ultraman Orb the Origin Saga is a 12-episode series airing exclusively on Amazon Prime Video and tells the history of Gai and Juggler, the hero and villain from Ultraman Orb. The show will recount their history and explore how the two went from friends to deadly enemies in the recently concluded Ultraman Orb TV series.

Tsuburaya previously mentioned the series is also expected to have English and German subs at some point.
