Shin Godzilla‘s limited release in the United States through FUNimation sees an over $1 million take.

Shin Godzilla, the latest Japanese Godzilla film, the first in over 12 years, has earned $1,039,305 during the first three days of its limited release screenings in the US.

It’s a peaceful day in Japan when a strange fountain of water erupts in the bay, causing panic to spread among government officials. At first, they suspect only volcanic activity, but one young executive dares to wonder if it may be something different… something alive.
