April Fools 2023: Bandai Confirms: “We Will Release Infinite New Kamen Rider Belts Until The End Of Time. Pay Up.”

Bandai confirmed your wallet does not belong to you in a surprise announcement, and “Sentai’s next. You will not escape.”

In a shocking announcement early on April 1st, 2023, Bandai has revealed its plan for the future of Kamen Rider belts via its Japan-exclusive storefront which hosted a short video live stream. Bandai simultaneously streamed a message to its international audience- a voice recording on loop which said “We’ve destroyed your VPN services. Good luck buying toys, now.”

Following the live stream, John Toei posted the following comment to Twitter:

Unexpectedly, Bandai’s head of production responded with an argument:

“Only Kamen Riders? That’s not true. We’re also planning to flood the market with so much Super Sentai merchandise that the next villain will be composed of plastic cell phones, swords, and Bop-Its from the sea!”
