After decades of unavailability, season 2 of Hanna-Barbera’s Godzilla will finally be streaming exclusively on YouTube.
Starting next week, season 2 of Hanna-Barbera’s Godzilla animated series will be airing on Toho’s Official International Godzilla channel on YouTube. First premiering in September of 1979, the 13-episode season has never been released on home video and was rarely seen after 1981.
June 6 will mark the first time the Calico crew’s second round of Saturday-morning adventures will have been seen in decades. Originally produced in the late 1970s after Joseph Barbera contacted producer Henry Saperstein, who was able to help license the character to Hanna-Barbera. Though the show’s contents were restrained by network restrictions, Godzilla is a nostalgically looked-upon cult classic of the era.
Currently, all 13 episodes of Godzilla season 1 are currently available on the Godzilla YouTube channel. Though all episodes are split into three separate parts.
