GARO Collaboration Returns To Final Fantasy XIV
Square Enix will add new achievements, titles, and gear sets based on the GARO franchise to Final Fantasy XIV this month.
Square Enix has announced this past week that they will once again be collaborating with GARO Project to add new content to their widely popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV in an upcoming patch for the game based on the GARO franchise. This marks the second time the two franchises have crossed over since their first collaboration back on January 17, 2017. The collaboration had previously concluded on October 29, 2019 with the 5.1 game patch. The 6.1 patch will be released on April 12 and will include gear sets for “Shadowbringer” and “Endwalker” jobs.
The armor, gear, and mounts are based on the first two seasons of the 2005 tokusatsu series from Keita Amemiya. The game will allow for players to don the armors of Garo (Paladin), Rei (Ninja), Dan (Dragoon), and Kiba (Warrior or Dark Knight), as well as gain access to the mounts Ginga, Goten, and Raigo, respectively. Players in the Black Mage or Summoner classes can be outfitted with Makai Priest gear, as well as other themed gear and weapons available for the Astrologian, Bard, Machinist, Monk, and Scholar classes.
The first two seasons and movies for GARO are currently available to stream on HIDIVE. Final Fantasy XIV is available to play now on PC, PS4 and PS5. You can check out a brief trailer for the GARO x Final Fantasy XIV in the player below!
