Avalon, Knight of the Round Table, is a local hero from England based in Japan. Recently, Avalon went to Local Hero Festival 2021 where Team TokuNet caught up with him. Now, a series based on Avalon is being produced as an indie tokusatsu production. New details were announced during Team TokuNet’s annual holiday break alongside the release of a 4-minute preview.

The above preview showcases Avalon’s chivalrous spirit in his willingness to give his foe a second chance. When that courtesy is taken for granted, a mysterious brit drinking tea by the river reveals himself as the knight, Avalon.

Avalon, a.k.a. Ryuji Tatsumaki, is played by Max Ellis, the founder of Shield and Sword Productions and director of Cyber Ninja Tekkaraiger. He will also be directing the project. The producer for the series is Yuuri Narita, and the action director is Tom Constantine, founder of Rival Stunts and a founding member of The Tokusatsu Network. Constantine is a stunt actor who’s worked in other tokusatsu productions such as Kamen Rider Zero-One and Power Rangers Dino Fury. He is the lead suit actor for Avalon.

On January 10th, a TV-sized version of the series’ theme song, “Have at you, Avalon!” was released. The song is arranged by Ryo Kawaguchi and written by Endo Stahe who also wrote the theme songs for Cyber Ninja Tekkaraiger and The Squid Hero of Hakodate, Ikadabesser.

The exact format of Avalon, Knight of the Round Table, has yet to be finalized, but more information will be released via Max Ellis’s Twitter account (@SaSPMax) and the official Avalon Twitter account (@RTKAvalon1000) in the weeks to come.
