Godzilla Returns to MonsterVerse in Upcoming Apple TV Series
Legendary’s Monsterverse continues with a new series featuring Godzilla and the Titans coming to Apple TV+.
Godzilla and the Titan’s return to Legendary’s Monsterverse in a newly ordered television series. Partnered with Apple TV+, the untitled series is being co-created by sci-fi veteran Chris Black (Star Trek: Enterprise) and award-winning comic author Matt Fraction (Hawkeye). Joby Harold and Tory Tunnel of Safehouse Pitcures’ are executives, producing the show alongside Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita of Toho Co., Ltd.
Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.
Legendary’s Monsterverse is an expansive multi-media universe-spanning across various films, comics, and now tv-series. Starting with Godzilla in 2014, the Monsterverse films have accumulated almost two billion dollars at the global box office. Meanwhile, the universe is continuously expanding with a new Netflix Skull Island anime series confirmed to be in the works.
The untitled series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ alongside various other upcoming dramas. Launched in 2019, Apple TV+ became the first all-original streaming service across the world in over 100 regions. The service is available on over 1 billion screens from the iPhone and iPad to popular smart TV’s and video game consoles such as the Xbox and PlayStation. It is available for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
