Kamen Rider Ex-Aid’s Ruka Matsuda Tests Positive for COVID-19
On January 17, Ruka Matsuda of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid announced she had tested positive for COVID-19.
Ruka Matsuda, known for her role as Asuna Karino (also known as Poppy Pipopapo / Kamen Rider Poppy) in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is confirmed to have COVID-19. The announcement was published on her Instagram page by her agency Grick Company on January 17, a day after she began showing symptoms.
Because of her infection, Matsuda’s role in a recital of Always Chopin in the Pocket 2nd Lesson at Kinokuniya Hall on January 20 has been recast. Her character, ‘Asako,’ will now be played by voice actress and singer Aina Kusuda. Currently, refunds are being offered to consumers dissatisfied with the cast change for performances between 2 – 6 p.m. on January 20th.
