CSM Transformation Belt Typhoon KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Memorial Set Announced

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, Premium Bandai announced the CSM Transformation Belt Typhoon KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Memorial set from the original Kamen Rider series. 


First released in 1971, the first Kamen Rider was an unprecedented hit with 3.8 million units sold at the time. Typhoon’s body has a built-in infrared sensor, and the transformation sound of Kamen Rider 1 is activated when he takes a transformation pose. The built-in full color LED will rotate and emit light to recreate the animation of the play. A “shutter gimmick” is built into the center of the main body. When activated in “No. 2 Mode”, the sound of Kamen Rider 2’s transformation is triggered by pressing the button. The shutter is automatically deployed during the transformation sound by electric control. By pressing the button after the transformation, various kinds of special move sounds that appeared in the play can be played. In addition, newly recorded voices by Hiroshi Fujioka (Takeshi Hongo) and Tsuyoshi Sasaki (Hayato Ichimonji) are included. By activating each of them as a dialogue mode, you can hear “Rider, Transform, Tooh! or “Rider Kick! and “Rider Punch! and “Rider Kick!”

The belt part of the main body is made of genuine cowhide leather. The belt is made of genuine cowhide leather, and the 16 ornaments around the belt are made of metal and acrylic, and come in two different shapes that can be replaced. It also comes with a variety of background music, including “Let’s Go! Rider Kick” and “Kamen Rider no Uta”, as well as a variety of other impressive background music. The metal plate attached to the pedestal has a serial number engraved on it.

The CSM Typhoon measures a height of approx. 134 mm x width of approx. 400 mm x diameter of approx. 350 mm (girth size: approx. 80 cm-108 cm). The decorative parts for replacement measure a height of approx. 19 mm x width of approx. 19 mm x diameter of approx. 8 mm each. The Typhoon pedestal measures a height of approx. 208 mm x width of approx. 353 mm x diameter of approx. 375 mm. The replacement parts for the pedestal measures a height of approx. 157 mm x width of approx. 120 mm x diameter of approx. 29 mm. The scarf of crimson measures a height of approx. 67 mm x width of approx. 19 mm x diameter of approx. 19 mm. The Boy Kamen Rider Squad emblem measures a height of approx. 72 mm x width of approx. 72 mm x diameter of approx. 8 mm.

The CSM Typhoon is made of ABS, PC, aluminum, cowhide, ZnDC, and PMMA. The decorative parts for replacement are made of ZnDC and PMMA. The Pedestal for Typhoon is made of ABS and Aluminum. The replacement parts for pedestal are made of ABS. The Scarf of crimson is made of Polyester. The Boy’s Masked Rider Team Emblem is made of ABS/PC. It requires four AA dry cell batteries (sold separately).

The CSM Transformation Belt Typhoon KAMEN RIDER 50th Anniversary Memorial set from the original Kamen Rider series will go for 55,000 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in January 2022. Preorders are being accepted starting August 4th, 2021, at 11:00 JST until September 28th, 2021, at 23:00 JST.
