Eiji Akaso, who played Banjou Ryuga in Kamen Rider Build, will appear in the upcoming serial drama She Was Pretty.
Actor Eiji Akaso has been cast in the serial drama She Was Pretty, starring Kento Nakajima and Fuka Koshiba. Akaso will play Takuya Higuchi, an elusive and romantic member of the editorial department of “The Most,” where the main character Ai Sato works. He previously played Banjou Ryuga in Kamen Rider Build.
She Was Pretty is based on the Korean drama of the same name. It centers on the first love between two people whose lives have completely changed; Sosuke Hasebe, a handsome ‘elite’ who used to be a sullen teenager, and Ai Sato, an unemployed woman who used to be an honor student. She Was Pretty will air on Tuesdays at 9 pm, starting in July.
“Since the original is popular in Korea, I was surprised that I would do this work in the Japanese version, feeling both joy and the pressure that I had to do my best. It was very interesting when I read the script. The relationship between Sosuke and Ai, and the interactions of the four people including Higuchi and Risa, is also very interesting.”
