Godzilla Festival Extra: All-Out Attack on Shinjuku To Be Held on May 22
On May 22, Toho will hold Godzilla Festival Extra: All-Out Attack on Shinjuku featuring presentations with the stars of Godzilla Singular Point, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, and more.
To celebrate the releases of Godzilla Singular Point and Godzilla vs. Kong, TOHO announced an online event called Godzilla Festival Extra: All-Out Attack on Shinjuku. Spanning only 4-hours, this event will be a shorter “extra” Godzilla Festival and will be hosted by Shinsuke Kasai.
Being held entirely online, there will be live events for free and paying viewers. On the Japanese Godzilla YouTube channel, two streams will be held. One announcing a new Bandai Godzilla vinyl, and another of Matt Frank drawing Godzilla characters. Paid viewers get access to multiple panel events. The first being a news segment on new/upcoming Godzilla material. Following that, a live talk show will be held with Godzilla Singular Point‘s lead actors Yume Miyamoto (Mei Kamino), and Shoya Ishige (Yun Arikawa), as well as producer Takashi Yoshizawa. There will also be a talk show event with Yuji Tanaka and Shinsuke Kasai discussing the dubbing process for the Japanese release of Godzilla vs. Kong. Finally, to conclude this Godzilla Festival, Director Kazuki Omori, and suit actors Kenpachiro Satsuma, and “Hurricane” Ryu Hariken will star for a Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah 30th-anniversary panel. Another panel discussing the recent Godzilla VS Kyoto campaign was planned, but has been canceled due to Covid-19 concerns.
Godzilla Festival Extra: All-Out Attack on Shinjuku will begin at 1:00 p.m. JST time on May 22. Standard tickets cost 1,100 yen (tax included), whilst a limited ticket with an exclusive variant figure of the Movie Monster Series Burning Godzilla, will cost 3,300 yen, plus an extra 800 yen for shipping (tax included).
