A successor to 1993’s Gridman the Hyper Agent, Studio Trigger’s SSSS.Gridman follows the story of Yuta Hibiki after he wakes up with amnesia and hears the voice of the alien Hyper Agent, Gridman. When Yuta and his friends, Sho and Rikka, see kaiju wreaking havoc on their home, Yuta combines with Gridman using an old computer to transform into a giant and save the day. It’s up to this Gridman Alliance to discover who is sending the monsters and why everyone around them forgets everything the next day.
SSSS.Dynazenon will serve as a follow-up to that story. Its title, still a reference to the 1994 American Gridman adaptation Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, is a combination of the names Dyna Dragon and God Zenon which are two assist mechas from Gridman the Hyper Agent.
SSSS.Dynazenon will begin airing in Japan on Friday, April 2nd.
