Warner Bros. Japan released an English-subtitled trailer for Rurouni Kenshin: The Final.

Warner Bros. Japan released an English-subtitled trailer for the fourth installment of the Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie series, titled Rurouni Kenshin: The Final. However, there is no word yet regarding the movie’s international distribution as of this writing.

Set after the events of Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends, I focuses on Himura Kenshin and his relation to Enishi Yukishiro, a man who seeks Kenshin for revenge. A fifth installment, titled Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning will be set in Kenshin’s past and will bring to light the reason for his cross-shaped scar and his vow to never kill again.

The Final / The Beginning were initially scheduled to premiere on July 3 and August 7, 2020 (respectively), but both were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will now premiere on April 23 and June 4, 2021.
