Additional Super Battle Junretsuger Cast and Staff Revealed

Several tokusatsu alumni cast and staff have been revealed for Super Battle Junretsuger, slated to premiere in fall 2021.

In addition to the members of the chorus group JUNretsu playing the Junretsugers, other cast members have been revealed for the movie Super Battle Junretsuger.

Threatening the peace of hot springs are the four generals:

Garan – Ukyo Matsumoto (Taiga Hanaya / Kamen Rider Snipe, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid)
Zauna – Hideaki Iwanaga (Akira Date / Kamen Rider Birth, Kamen Rider OOO)
Zoap – Atsushi Shiramata (Ryoji Hase / Kamen Rider Kurokage, Kamen Rider Gaim)
Jauwer – Ryushin

Kohei Yamamoto, known for his portrayal of Kouta Bitou / Hurricane Yellow in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger, was involved in the planning process of Super Battle Junretsuger and will also appear in the movie as Kousuke, a bath house cleaner.

Directing the movie Hiroshi Butsuda, a seasoned special effects director who has worked on various tokusatsu programs, and Hideaki Tsukada is one of the movie’s producers. Tsukada was also the producer of Kamen Rider W (2009-2010) and Mashin Sentai Kiramager (2020-2021).

Jun Violet – Yasuhiko Imai
Actor: Kazuyoshi Sakai (Sotaro Ushigoma / Gao Black, Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger)

Actors’ Comments

Ukyo Matsumoto (Garan)

The members of JUNretsu are very warm people, and I felt very motivated to practice action sequences. The Junretsugers are incredibly cool and pack a punch, but keep your eyes on the four generals too. The bad guys have some heated bonds and action too, all in a bath house!

This was my first time performing with Junretsu, and you can feel their kindness like you’re at a heated table on a cold day. I learned so much about movement and about being considerate from them.

I was very excited to be cast in this movie. I was worried because it’s been some time since I last acted, but when we filmed, it all came back to me when I was in the scene. My character, Garan, is quite the gunslinging villain. I don’t think I lose to anyone regarding gun handling. Evil Garan is justice.

We made a movie that is heated, impressive, and a little surreal. Please watch it and look forward to my return to the screen.

Hiroaki Iwanaga (Zauna)

I am extremely moved to have been selected to play an enemy this time, as one of the four emperors. I played my role such that from deep within my heart, if my seniors showed any weakness, I would strike them down. Even if you aren’t a JUNretsu fan or a tokusatsu fan, even if you watch this alone, I hope you’ll watch this many times.

Atsushi Shiramata (Zoap)

My seniors in life and in work, I’m honored to perform with JUNretsu on the same production. I prepared a lot to be an enemy character before we started filming. I hope you get a lot out of watching this movie.

Ryushin (Jauwer)

Junretsuger will be my movie debut! There was much I was able to do thanks to the wealth of support from the JUNretsu members, the other cast, and staff!
Though they oppose the Junretsugers, it’s hard to hate the four emperors. We have some jam-packed action scenes, so be sure to watch us on the big screen in theaters and enjoy the movie!
