Kiita Komagine Shares Thoughts About Being Cast for Zenkaiger

Kiita Komagine shares his thoughts about being cast in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger at a premiere event for Super Sentai Movie Ranger 2021.

On February 20, Kiita Komagine and the Zenkaigers appeared at a theater to celebrate the premiere of Super Sentai Movie Ranger 2021 where the team’s transformation poses could be seen for the first time. For Kiita Komagine (Kaito Goshikida / Zenkaiser), he had appeared in prior press events, but this marked his first time transforming in front of an audience of fans. “I was really nervous,” said Komagine. “Standing on stage and having my picture taken isn’t so bad, but my back is sweaty,” he confessed, covering his embarrassment.

“There were four of us who got the offer,” Komagine revealed when asked about receiving the role of Kaito/Zenkaiser. “I thought there were faces I didn’t see at the audition,” he added, eliciting laughter from the audience.

“There’s this huge mix of emotions,” he continues. “People often say ‘It feels like a dream’ in interviews, right? I’ve wondered about that, but it really does feel like a dream (haha). It was so unbelievable I worried I’d wake up from this in the morning.”

In conclusion, Komagine told the fans, “Making our first debut here was a little nerve-wracking, but thanks to your warm welcome, I’m calmer now. I’m very happy to have put a lot of love into this movie.”

Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger: Akai Tatakai! All Sentai Daishuukai!! premiered alongside Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Special Story: Memory of Soulmates and Mashin Sentai Kiramager: Bebop Dream as part of Super Sentai Movie Ranger 2021‘s triple feature on February 20.

Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Super Sentai’s 45th series, will begin airing on March 7. The Zenkaigers’, composed of one human and four Kikanoids, fight to stop the Corrupt Dynasty Tojitend from destroying all of the parallel universes.
