Mego Corporation Releases First Figure in New Ultraman Line

Action figure company Mego Corporation has released the first figure in a new line based on the original Ultraman.

In partnership with Tsuburaya Productions, action figure company Mego Corporation has released the first figure in their new Ultra Series line.

Based on the original Ultraman, the retro-classic figure is fully posable and stands 8″ tall. It will be available at Walmart during the holiday season at a suggested retail price of $14.99. Online specialty retailers will begin selling the figure soon after.

Originally founded in 1954, Mego Corporation became the first company to make action figures of TV and comics superheroes. They announced a licensing agreement with Tsuburaya and The Licensing Group in June 2020 to create a new line of figures inspired by the original Ultraman and the Netflix anime version of Ultraman.

According to the official press release, Mego Corporation is also working on an Ultraseven figure for anticipated release in early 2021.
