After being recruited by the disembodied arm of Ankh , Eiji becomes OOO to fight against the ancient monsters known as Greeed, who feed off of human desires. Along the way, Eiji and Ankh are assisted by members of the Kougami Foundation, who have found a way to weaponize the Greeed’s powerful medal technology.
