24 JAPAN Announced Featuring Multiple Tokusatsu Alumni

24 Japan will air on TV Asahi in October, featuring multiple tokusatsu alumni in the cast of the series.


TV Asahi will soon air its own spin off to the 2001 drama series 24. 24 Japan will be based off of the first season of the original series, taking place during the midst of the general election with expectations of Japan’s first female prime minister. 24 Japan will also feature multiple actors who have played roles in various tokusatsu series.


Miki Yanagi (Sela/Zyuoh Shark, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger) plays Suzu Hakozaki, a friend of the main character Genma Shido.


Yu Kamio (Dr. Maki in Kamen Rider OOO, Shotaro Kamiki in Ultraman X) plays Yougo Hakozaki , the father of Suzu.


Atsuhiro Inukai (Sento Kiryu, Kamen Rider Build) plays Gou Samejima, a friend of Suzu’s.


Yasuyuki Maekawa (Souichi Isurugi/Evolt in Kamen Rider Build, Shinra in Ultraman Orb: The Orb Origin Saga) will play as photographer Tsunehiko Minagawa.


Yuki Imai (Mitsuru in OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let’s Go Kamen Riders!) plays Yuta Asakura, the son of Urara Asakura, the candidate whose about to be Japan’s first female prime minister.


Hiroaki Murakami (Hiroshi Tsukuba/Kamen Rider Skyrider) will also join the cast as Heisuke Satonaka (Chief of Counter Terrorism Unit in Tokyo).


Shiro Sano (Chief of Space Police Weeval in Gokaiger vs Gavan the Movie, Michihiko Zaizen/Dr. Pac-Man in Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs Ex-Aid & Ghost) as Genji Onitsuka (Chief of the First Branch of CTU Tokyo)

Kumi Mizuno (Dayo in Godzilla vs The Sea Monster and Akiko Namikawa in Godzilla: Final Wars & other Godzilla films) will play the mother-in-law of Urara Asakura, Shigeko Isomura.

24 Japan will air on TV Asahi in October 2020 and will run for 24 episodes.
