Premium Bandai Announces S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2001) Radiant Heat Ray ver.

Premium Bandai announced their newest release in the S.H.MonsterArts series, the S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2001) Radiant Heat Ray ver. from the Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack film.

The S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2001) Radiant Heat Ray ver. features a Heat Ray variant of the iconic kaiju from 2001 film. The figure coloring is replicated by Mr. Yuji Sakai’s own hands and matches the kaiju seen in the film. The dorsal fins can illuminate as it does in the movie just before Godzilla emits radiant heat rays with the mouth also emitting light.

In order to replicate the scenes where Godzilla’s emitting radiant hear rays, the body of the figure is darkened since those scenes were night time scenes. The colors resemble a luminescent feeling and becomes more prominent with the blues and whites.

The figure is made of PVC and measures about 160 mm tall. This is a Premium Bandai web exclusive item.

The S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2001) Radiant Heat Ray ver. from the Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Minsters All-Out Attack film will go for 9,900 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in November 2020. Preorders are being accepted starting July 10, 2020, at 16:00 JST.
