Ultraman Orb actor Takaya Aoyagi will return to the Ultra series as Shota Hebikura, captain of STORAGE in Ultraman Z.

Takaya Aoyagi is returning to the Ultra series as a new character in Ultraman Z. Aoyagi is returning to play as Shota Hebikura, captain of the Anti-Monster Robot Unit STORAGE. Officially named Special Tactical Operations Regimental Airborne and Ground Equipment, STORAGE is a robot unit of the Japan Defense Force that specializes in anti-monster combat. STORAGE also confronts the disasters caused by monster attacks.

As captain of STORAGE, Shota Hebikura (age 34) organizes the young troublesome team of STORAGE. He is a captain who is warm, bright, friendly, like a reliable brother to the team. Shota Hebikura has a high level of physical ability and is very athletic. He also puts Natsukawa Haruki (Hiroshi Hirano) through intense training drills in the training room of STORAGE.

Aoyagi spoke about his excitement about returning to the Ultra series in Ultraman Z. He was very quick to make a decision after he was cast as Hebikura in the series:

“I want to make another show with them!” There’s nothing better than that. When I was in Ultraman Orb, I made a lot of friends who encouraged me, and they all have helped and supported me through everything… It’s easy to say it, so I’d like to show it through Ultraman Z. So, let’s meet at 9am on June 20th.

Ultraman Z will air on TV Tokyo June 20th, 2020 at 9am.
