Following the reports confirming Kiramei Red’s actor Rio Komiya testing positive for COVID-19, Toei Studios now has shut down for disinfecting. Four shoots were underway in the studio prior to the shutdown. Two of the productions were the dramas Tokuso9 and Keishicho Sosaikkacho 2020. The other 40 cast members have not currently reported having any symptoms. On March 30th, the studio closed down for disinfecting and have continued to do so through the 31st.
Filming for Mashin Sentai Kirameiger has been completed for up to mid-May broadcasting. Broadcasters of the show stated there will be no issues with airing as of now.
Currently, there is no official wording as to when the studio will reopen as it will fall under the jurisdiction of health officials. No further information on how this will affect other Toei productions have been announced at this time.
