ULTRAMAN Voice Actors Suit Up For New Promotion
New information on OP and ED for TV broadcast of the Netflix original anime has been revealed.
To promote the upcoming TV broadcast premiere of the Netflix Original ULTRAMAN 3DCG anime, a live-action commercial is currently in production featuring the ULTRAMAN SUIT and ULTRAMAN SUIT VERSION 7.2. Rather than have the motion capture artists suit up for the promotion, voice actors Ryohei Kimura (Shinjiro Hayata/ULTRAMAN) and Takuya Eguchi (Dan Moroboshi/SEVEN) will don their characters’ respective armor, which you can see in the gallery below. Both suits were created by Tsuburaya Productions’ modeling department.
Additionally, the band OLDCODEX, who provided the theme “Sight Over The Battle” for the Netflix run of the show will be contributing a new opening song for the television broadcast entitled “Core Fade.” The single will be released on April 22, 2020. The ending theme for the show is titled “my ID” by Void_Chords feat. Ryohei & Foggy-D, which will be released on May 13, 2020.
Debuting last year, the anime is adapted from the 2011 Ultraman manga which served as a direct sequel to the original 1966 Ultraman series. Set several years after the events of the original series, the anime focuses on Shinjiro Hayata, the teenage son of Shin Hayata, the original host of Ultraman. When a new alien threat appears, it is up to Shinjiro to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the latest hero of light, Ultraman. A second season for the anime was recently confirmed to be on its way. Season 1 is available to watch now on Netflix worldwide. The series will be broadcast on Tokyo MX and BS 11 starting in April.
