New Ultraman game for iOS and Android, based on the Netflix anime, comes this Spring.

A new mobile game has been announced from Tsuburaya Productions called ULTRAMAN: BE ULTRA. Described as an action RPG, the game will focus on the three Ultra heroes and various characters from the first season of the ULTRAMAN anime on Netflix. A 30 second teaser has been released, which you can watch below, that teases the isometric view of the action to be expected in the game. A pre-registration campaign is currently underway for players to get 1650 Specium points in the game at launch by following the official Twitter account for the game. Although the website states a Spring 2020 release, no current date has been set for when the app will go live.

Debuting last year, the anime is adapted from the 2011 Ultraman manga which served as a direct sequel to the original 1966 Ultraman series. Set several years after the events of the original series, the anime focuses on Shinjiro Hayata, the teenage son of Shin Hayata, the original host of Ultraman. When a new alien threat appears, it is up to Shinjiro to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the latest hero of light, Ultraman. A second season for the anime was recently confirmed to be on its way. Season 1 is available to watch now on Netflix worldwide.
