Various Tokusatsu Actors to Star in TV Drama “Coffee & Vanilla”

The drama will have both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai actors in starring roles.

Haruka Fukuhara will star in the role of Risa Shiroki, a college student in Tokyo that comes from the countryside. Dori Sakurada stars opposite her as Hiroto Fukami, the “perfect Ikemen president” who becomes Risa’s love interest. Yuki Ogoe will portray the role of Tsubasa Yoshiki, a love rival for Hiroto Fukami, and Shogo Hama will play the role of Yuki Ichiyanagi, Fukami’s secretary.

Haruka Fukuhara has made appearances in the Ressha Sentai ToQGer movies, Dori Sakurada has had appearances in the Kamen Rider Den-O and Kamen Rider OOO movies, Yuki Ogoe appeared in Kamen Rider Kiva, and Shogo Hama is best known for his portrayal as Touma Yoimachi (Lupin Blue) in Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs Keisatsu Sentai Patranger.

Coffee & Vanilla is based on the manga of the same name by Takara Akegami, who has been illustrating and writing the manga for the girls’ manga magazine “CHEESE!” since 2015. The TV drama will air in the late-night “Drama Special Timeslot” (Thursdays at 12:59 AM) that MBS established earlier this year in April. It will start broadcasting on July 4.
