Serial Burglaries of Kamen Rider Items in Japan

Many Kamen Rider goods have been reported stolen from mass retailers.

An announcement was made by police in the city of Sendai in Japan on May 11, stating that a string of thefts had occurred. The thefts were of Kamen Rider related goods and estimated to be worth over 1 million yen.

A total of five large retailers were reported to have been hit by this burglary, according to the Sendai Police Station. The city, located in the Miyagi prefecture of Japan, has been dealing with these recurrent thefts since February of this year. It has been speculated by experts that these thefts are because Kamen Rider items are considered highly popular compared to other child entertainment goods and can be re-sold at high prices.

An arrest was made on April 30 in relation to the burglaries and the man arrested was found to have stolen four items including an unnamed driver. His stolen goods totaled to over 13,000 yen. The alleged shoplifter made a statement, “I wanted the money made from selling the stolen products”. The police believe this man is the thief in connection with the burglary in Aoba-ku Ward and are still investigating the other thefts from various other retailers.

We always thought that there’s no thieves in Japan because of their very strict laws. But no.
It’s 2019. Some Japanese are now influenced by the West. Crime is now possible.

I think those Kamen Rider are worth a fortune. :))
