The Japanese dub voice cast of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse features Mamoru Miyano, who is a famous voice actor whose roles include Ultraman Zero from the Ultra series. Other notable voice actors include Kensho Ono, who will be voicing the titular character Miles Morales, as well as Aoi Yuki, who will be voicing Gwen Stacy.
Ono admitted that he has always wanted to voice a Marvel hero and feels the immense pressure because there are many Spider-Man fans in Japan. He’s also looking forward to Mamoru’s role, who he considers an elder role model, like Miles and Peter.
Mamoru feels so honored to be able to portray the well-known Peter Parker character. He does feel that the atmosphere of this Peter Parker is different compared to other iterations. He also feels deeply moved that he gets to play an adult who has a master-student role to the younger Miles character.
Yuki, who considers herself a new Marvel fan, has seen Spider-Woman. She hopes to tell her future child one day that she is actually Spider-Gwen.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is scheduled to be released in US theaters on December 14, 2018, and March 8, 2019, in Japan.
