My Hero Academia Stage Play Announces Cast

The stage play of the popular manga and anime includes tokusatsu alumni.


Earlier this week, the My Hero Academia: The Ultra Stage play updated its website to announce the cast as well as show a small clip of them in action.

Based on the hit manga and anime, the cast includes Shin Tamura as Izuku Midoriya, Ryota Kobayashi as Bakugo Katsuki, Yume Takuchi as Ochako Uraraka, Hiroki Ino as Tenya Iida, Ryo Kitamura as Shoto Todoroki, Mao Noguchi as Tsuyu Asui, Naoki Tanaka as Eijiro Kirishima, Yugo Sato as Denki Kaminari, Shinichi Hashimoto as Yuga Aoyama, Saaya Yamasaki as Momo Yaoyorozu, Nagato Akui as Minoru Mineta, Rin Matsubara as Fumikage Tokoyami, Marino Baba as Mei Hatsume, Daisuke Matsukawa as Hitoshi Shinso, Raita as Tomura Shigaraki, Yusuke Seto as Eraserhead, Yūki Okamoto as Present Mic, and Yusuke Ueda as Endeavor.

For the dual role of All Might, the role wil be played by both Tsuyoshi Hayashi and Hiroaki Iwanaga as All Might’s True and Strong forms, respectively. Hayashi is best know for his role as Hoji/ DekaBlue in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, and Iwanaga is known for his role as Akira Date/ Kamen Rider Birth in Kamen Rider OOO.

The plot revolves around Izuku Midoriya and his encounter with the hero All Might, as his power is passed onto Midoriya in the hopes he will one day become the world’s greatest hero. As a student of Class 1-A, Midoriya works to improve the use of his power, called a “Quirk”, alongside his fellow super powered classmates. There is no word currently on how much of the manga’s story the play will cover.

Tickets go on sale starting March 10. The play will being its run from April 12 through April 21 in Tokyo at the The Galaxy Theatre, and then in Osaka at the Sankei Hall Breeze in from April 26 through the 29.
