Kenji Matsuda Cast In Tenpai Gaiden Mahjong Live-Action Adaptation

Matsuda, who has appeared in numerous tokusatsu projects, cast as lead in series of movies.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Kenji Matsuda will star in the live action adaptations of Tomoshi Kuga’s Mahjong Hado Densetsu Tenpai Gaiden (Mahjong Military Rule Legend: Tenpai Side Story) manga. He will be playing the manga’s main character, Yoshiaki Kurosawa.

Matsuda has been a part of several tokusatsu projects over the years. Spanning several franchises, his most notable roles include Zanki in Kamen Rider Hibiki, Jiro/Garuru in Kamen Rider Kiva,  Wataru Shijima in Garo: Makai Senki, and the voice of Gabi Raizo in Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.

The films will screen on November 18 in Tokyo and then will be made available on DVD starting on January 5, 2019.
