NHK-E to Broadcast Shotaro Ishinomori Discussion Special

In commemoration of Shotaro Ishinomori’s 80th year, a special titled “Shotaro Ishinomori in 100 Minutes” has been announced.

The round table discussion will feature various guests discussing the themes found in Ishinomori’s body of work, including Kamen Rider, Cyborg 009, and Sabu and Ichi.

Panelists featured on the special include Uno Tsunehiro, Mari Yamazaki, Natsume Fusanosuke, and Yasufumi Nakoshi. Manga artists Keiko Takemiya and Kazuhiko Shimamoto will also join the program.

Shotaro Ishinomori in 100 Minutes will air on NHK-E on September 8th at 23:00. These programs normally air in 4 25-minute blocks, but 100 Minutes will air the entire segment as a single piece.
