Kamen Rider 555’s Kento Handa and Kouhei Murakami to appear in Kamen Rider Zi-O
Kamen Rider Zi-O, the final series in the Heisei era of Kamen Rider, premieres Sunday in Japan.
It’s been announced that members of the cast of 2003’s Kamen Rider 555 will appear in episodes 5 and 6 of Kamen Rider Zi-O.
Kamen Rider 555 aired in 2003 and was Kamen Rider’s attempt at a contemporary drama series that played by real world rules. The series heavily focused on blurring the line between what it meant to be a hero and a monster. The 50 episode series was penned entirely by Toshiki Inoue and produced by Shinichiro Shirakura, who will return to Zi-O in the same capacity.
Kamen Rider Zi-O follows Sougo Tokiwa, a high schooler who is visited by a girl from the future. The girl warns Sougo that he will one day become the “demon king destined to rule the future”. Sogo decides to fight his fate and sets about to learn about the previous Kamen Riders using a time machine while dealing with the mysterious Time Jackers.
