If you’re interested in Godzilla and other kaiju goodness, this upcoming convention is worth keeping an eye on.

G-FEST is the largest regular convention for all things Godzilla and kaiju on the whole. It will be holding its 25th convention this weekend, titled G-FEST XXV, which will be held from July 13-15th, at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare.

Among other things, highlights include movie viewings at the Pickwick Theatre, a retrospective celebrating the 20th anniversary of the American-made 1998 Godzilla film, the Kaiju Kingdom podcast interviews comic book artist and writer Matt Frank, and several different detailed analysis for Godzilla and other kaiju. There will also be contests, a dealers room, and artist alley, offering plenty of things to do.

Some of the more notable guests include the Toho master prop and suit builder Keizo Murase, 1984-1995 Godzilla suit actor Kenpachiro Satsuma, and prolific model maker Gene Rizzardi.
