Animated Garo Film “Usuzumizakura -GARO-” Main Cast and Staff Revealed
The next animated installment for the popular GARO franchise announces the main cast and staff.
The main staff and cast have been unveiled for the next in the GARO series: Usuzumizakura -GARO-, translating to”Ink-gray Cherry Blossoms -GARO-“. The movie will be a continuation of the second anime season, Garo: Guren no Tsuki.
Returning to the cast as the main character is Masei Nakayama, as Raikou, who also played a minor role in Kamen Rider Hibiki and Kamen Rider Kiva. He previously voiced Raikou in GARO: Guren no Tsuki and played Raiga in the 4th live action season, GARO: Makai no Hana.
Joining Nakayama as the leading voice actress is Romi Park, as Seimei, a well known voice actress who has voiced notable roles in Naruto, Bleach, Digimon, and Fullmetal Alchemist. She has also appeared in previous GARO series: previously as Seimei in Garo: Guren no Tsuki, and as Ema Guzman in Garo: Hono no Kokuin and its movie, Garo: Divine Flame.
Other notable names include: Akiko Yajima (Shin from Crayon Shin Chan) as Kintoki, Kenyu Horiuchi (Pain from Naruto) as Fujiwarano Michinaga, Daisuke Namikawa (Engine Speedor from Enjin Sentai Go-Onger) as Fujiwarano Yasusuke, Katsuhito Nomura (Alfonso in Garo: Hono no Kokuin) as Fujiwarano Yorinobu, Mayu Udono (Runa from Kakegurui) as Inari, Joji Nakata (Birth Driver from Kamen Rider OOO) as Tenko, and Tomokazu Seki (Equipment Voice in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) will play Takeru.
The new addition to the Garo universe will feature the Heian Era Setting and will be released to theaters in Japan in October 2018.
