Former Kamen Rider Kiva star Koji Seto set to debut in new series this summer.
On Thursday, the NHK announced that it would be adapting Bakka Okita’s manga, Toumei na Yuikago, into a live action series. The main cast includes Kaya Kiyohara, Koji Seto, Asami Mizukawa, Mieko Harada, and Wakana Sakai.
Seto was previously known for staring as Wataru Kurenai in 2008’s Kamen Rider Kiva, as well as starring roles in Sadako 3D, The Prince of Tennis stage musicals, and the live-action adaptation of Princess Jellyfish.
The manga, which was published by Kondansha, revolves around the experiences of the author and her time working as a nurse at an obstetrics and gynecology clinic. Seto will be playing the head doctor of the hospital where the main character, played by Kiyohara, is stationed.
The series will be directed by Takeshi Shibata, Naoki Murahashi, and Haruka Kashima. The music will be composed by Yasuaki Shimizu and the script will be done by Naoko Adachi. The series will have a 10 episode run starting July 20th at 10 PM on NHK.
