Ultraman Geed the Movie Opens at 10th Place
Ultraman Geed the Movie: Connect the Wishes! opened this week in Japanese theaters.
The latest entry in the Ultra series, the finale to the Ultraman Geed TV series, Ultraman Geed the Movie: Connect the Wishes! opened on March 10th and debuted in 10th place for the weekend in Japan. The movie is the first entry in the Ultra series to be filmed entirely in Okinawa as opposed to the Kanto region of Japan, where major productions are typically filmed.
Last year’s Ultraman Orb the Movie: Lend Me the Power of Your Bonds! opened in 7th place
The story is described as:
When the Giant Artificial Brain Gilbaris attempts to destroy all life by sending the Galactron Army to earth to obtain the “red steel”, Riku heads to Okinawa under the advice of Jugglus Juggler. Along the way, he meets Airu Higa who enlists his help on a mission. Once the Galactron Army makes their way to Okinawa, Ultraman Orb and Zero help to aid Geed.
The latest movie in the Doraemon series, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Treasure Island, stayed in first place during its second week. The weekend’s top ten included:
