Veteran Tokusatsu Professionals to Make Guest Appearance at Monsterpalooza 2018

Tokusatsu legends Shinji Nishikawa, Tsutomu Kitagawa, Shinichi Wakasa, and Bin Furuya set to make a guest appearance at the upcoming Monsterpalooza from April 13th -15th, 2018.


The upcoming Monsterpalooza convention, the world’s longest-running celebration of the art of monsters and movie magic, has announced that legendary tokusatsu professionals Shinji Nishikawa, Tsutomu Kitagawa, Shinichi Wakasa, and Bin Furuya will be making a guest appearance.

Shinji Nishikawa/MASH is known for his work as a designer on the majority of “Heisei” and “Millennium” Godzilla films, including Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989), Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), and Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). Tsutomu Kitagawa is an actor and stuntman known for playing the Godzilla for the “Millennium” Godzilla films and for his suit acting in the Super Sentai franchise, including being Godzilla in Godzilla 2000 (1999), Godzilla: Tokyo SOS (2003), and Godzilla: Final Wars (2004); also being Blue Mask in Hikari Sentai Maskman (Light Sentai Maskman) and both Battle Kenya and Miss America 2 in Battle Fever J (1979). Shinichi Wakasa is known for working as a special effects technician and suit sculptor for every Toho-produced Godzilla film from 1993 to 2004, including Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994), Rebirth of Mothra (1996), and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000). Lastly, Bin Furuya is known for his portrayal of the titular Ultraman from Ultraman.

Monsterpalooza 2018 is set to run from April 13th -15th, 2018, at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California. Moreover, it is the convention’s 10th anniversary.
