Kamen Rider Ex-Aid True Ending Opens at #2

The latest Kamen Rider/Super Sentai film was released over the weekend in Japan.

Uchu Sentai Kyuranger THE MOVIE: Ghess Indaver’s Counterattack and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid the Movie: True Ending were released on August 5th and finished 2nd at Japanese box offices for its first weekend. The double-feature managed to open higher than the latest Transformers film as well as the highly anticipated Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable live action adaptation.

The double-feature managed to open atop the box office on its first day before falling to #2 for the rest of the weekend. Last year’s Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger/Kamen Rider Ghost double-feature opened at 4th place at the box office.

The films currently hold a 92.2 “satisfaction level” rating among audiences.
