Ryō Yoshizawa of Kamen Rider Fourze fame has been cast to play Yori Suzuki alongside Yūko Araki and Yousuke Sugino in the 2018 live-action film Ano Ko no, Toriko.
Showgate recently launched the official website for the live-action film adaptation of Yuki Shiraishi’s Ano Ko no, Toriko. manga. The website included information like its 2018 release date, Ryō Miyawaki (Crazy For Me, Honey Trap) helming the film, Taeko Asano (NANA, Clover, Happy Marriage!?) writing the film’s script, and the cast.
The cast includes Ryō Yoshizawa (Ryusei Sakuta/Kamen Rider Meteor from Kamen Rider Fourze) as Yori Suzuki, Yūko Araki (Chiaki Shimizu from Kamen Rider Wizard) as Shizuku Tachibana, and Yousuke Sugino (Kunimitsu Serikawa from Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu) as Subaru Tōjō.
The story centers around three childhood friends: Shizuku, Yori, and Subaru. Yori started wearing glasses and moved to the countryside, unseen by girls around him. Shizuku and Subaru entered the entertainment industry together as a model and actor respectively. However, when Yori turns 16, he re-enters their life and a love triangle begins.
The film is set to premiere in 2018.
