GARO returns to Anime Japan 2017
The GARO franchise makes its return to this year’s Anime Japan.
It has been announced that the GARO series will make an appearance at Anime Japan 2017, the largest Anime event in Tokyo. The event will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight on March 25th – 26th.
This year, the GARO team will be exhibiting a 3-meter tall life-size Gouten replica. A photo contest will be held at the event and the winners will receive exclusive GARO merchandise. Other items include life-size helmet replicas of Garo, Zero, and Jaaku and a 1/1 replica of the Daizanbaken by JAP Kobo, on sale for the first time exclusively at their Anime Japan booth.
The GARO franchise, created by renowned character designer and director Keita Amemiya, has gone on to spawn five further tokusatsu seasons and two anime seasons, as well as various theatrical films since its debut in 2005. The original series has been licensed for US distribution by Kraken Releasing. Two new live-action movies as well as a 3rd anime series were announced late last year. The miniseries, ZERO -DRAGON BLOOD- is currently airing.
