QPOP Hosts Special Power Ranger Art Exhibit at Power Morphicon 2016

QPOP Shop and Gallery showcased a special Power Rangers tribute exhibit at Power Morphicon 2016.
QPOP Shop and Gallery in Los Angeles hosted a special Power Rangers and Super Sentai inspired art exhibit at the fifth installment of Power Morphicon, the biennial event celebrating all things Power Rangers.
Co-owner, Chris Mitchell, stated that Power Morphicon show runner, Scott Zillner, would often attend QPOP’s various tokusatsu and pop culture shows and express interest in hosting one during the event.
Artist featured at the show includes Mighty Magiswords creator, Kyle Carrozza; Eastwood Wong; Dreamworks’ Peabody & Sherman character designer, Keiko Murayama; Gabby Zapata; and Phillip Light.

Growing up in Northern California, Chris remembered watching episodes of Goranger and various kaiju films aired on the local Japanese television station. As an illustrator himself, he included a Goranger inspired piece in the exhibit.
All the original works and various prints were available for purchase at the show. Artists were also available at certain times to sign any of their work or small original commissions.

After Power Morphicon, the works will still be available to purchase through QPOP’s online store.

I can’t seem to find any of the power rangers works on the qpop site. I must have that pink ranger with the gun print! Please help!

It takes a few days for QPOP to upload the pieces for sale after an event. They do announce on both their Instagram & Twitter when pieces become available on their site. Until then, the best way to express your interest about getting a piece would be to send an email to info@qpopshop.com.
