Shin Godzilla x 7-Eleven Godzilla vs. Evangelion Shogoki Mecha Godzilla Announced

Convenient store chain 7-Eleven has recently announced the newest part of the Godzilla vs. Evangelion collaboration campaign in the form of an Eva Unit 01 colored Shogoki Mecha Godzilla vinyl figure.

The toy, designed after Kiryu as seen in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., can be obtained from 7-Eleven stores by pre-purchasing tickets for the film from the convenient store chain. The pre-purchase tickets and exclusive vinyl figure are limited to 4,000 units nationwide.

This figure is part of the Movie Monsters Series, a line of “sofubi” figures that generally release Godzilla and other popular Toho monsters. The figure stands roughly 170mm tall and features rotations in the arms and waist.

Shin Godzilla, known as Godzilla Resurgence in the west, is directed by Hideaki Anno, with special effects by Shinji Higuchi. It stars Hiromi Hasegawa, Takenouchi Yutaka, and Satomi Ishihara, and will hit Japanese theaters July 29th, 2016.
