Hiroshi Fujioka reprises his role once more as Kamen Rider 1 in upcoming eponymous movie.

Fujioka got involved since the early stages of production and helped write the script. After his continuous charity work across the world, he meditated about the how heavy and precious life is and thought of this offer as a change to give a new message of justice to children and adults alike.

Hiroshi Fujioka transformed on screen as Kamen Rider 1 after 38 years in 2014’s Heisei Rider VS Showa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai. During that time, Fujioka noted his feelings concerning his motorcycle accident as well as what it meant to be a hero.

Movie producer, Shinichiro Shirakura, said when he first approached Fujioka, he wanted to invest 3 years in creating a brand new movie about Kamen Rider 1 that would fulfill the individual story that got somehow got truncated after Fujioka’s motorcycle accident. This process quickened and after 5 months of talks and different plots discussed with Fujioka, the movie came to be.

The movie plot is noted below:

45 years ago, a man was subjected to the experiments of the Secret Society Shocker and became a Modified Human. Since that day, the man’s sole mission has been protecting humanity and justice from the threat of Shocker. His name is Takeshi Hongo, the first Kamen Rider.

After a long battle overseas, Hongo hears a certain girl is in danger and immediately returns to Japan. He then meets Takeru Tenkuji, Kamen Rider Ghost, who had been investigating the girl’s whereabouts.

In the wake of this new threat to the world, Takeshi Hongo transforms as his voice cries “Henshin!”

For life, love and future.

The teaser trailer for the movie can be found on the official movie website. Kamen Rider 1 premieres on March 26, 2016 all across Japan.

There was already Kamen Rider The First and also he’s the star of many crossovers. Why are they so obsessed with Ichigo? 😛

Can’t get enough of a classic, I suppose.

I think he means if there will be another Kamen Rider in this movie besides Ichigo and Ghost. We don’t know yet. Would be nice for change if it’s just the two of them, but also not a problem if the others apear (IMHO).

That is the clunkiest tokusatsu redesign I’ve ever seen (and I’ve been a fan since the early 80’s)! The armor is too bulky, the green is too loud. It kind of looks like a cheap knock-off toy of a Kamen Rider! I was critical of the “Kamen Rider The First” and “The Next” as movies, but the rider re-designs were both respectful and beautiful, keeping all the motorcycle hero elements of their originals.

I think he probably means, adding Rider #2
