Ultraman Nexus Coming Soon to Crunchyroll

Tsuburaya’s YouTube channel uploaded the first episode of Ultraman Nexus in anticipation of its arrival on Crunchyroll.

Ultraman Nexus aired in 2004 as part of the Ultra N Project, an attempt to revamp the Ultra SeriesNexus was notable for its darker tone, and for using multiple hosts, known as Dunamists. The show was cut short to 37 episodes because its tone didn’t sit well with younger fans, so the ratings suffered. Later, the show was re-aired in a late-night slot with better ratings.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the end of the show, Nexus will make a guest appearance in next week’s episode of Ultraman X. Nexus joins Ultraman Max, Zero, Ginga, and Victory as the latest Ultra to appear on the show. In anticipation of that appearance, Tsuburaya uploaded the first episode of Nexus with English subtitles to their YouTube channel.

In the description of the video, they revealed that Nexus would be their latest show to stream on Crunchyroll, joining Leo, 80, Max, Mebius, and the currently airing X. Tsuburaya did not specify when Nexus would be uploaded.

UPDATE: Nexus is now available on Crunchyroll.
