The 11th feature in the Japan Animator Expo has been released, featuring a unique look at kaiju inspired monsters.
Studio Khara’s project featuring shorts by some of Japan’s most notable studios has released their most recent short, the second from Studio Trigger, who previously worked on Denkou Chojin Gridman: boys invent great hero.
PP33: Power Planet #33 features the story of an electric monster and a giant robot named TAI-TAN in a futuristic city.
The short is headed by lead animator Kengo Saitou, based on a script from novelist Yasuhira Yoshiura, famed author of Pale Cocoon, who is also serving as director on the short. The shorts, designs, and credits are available to stream with English subtitles on the official Japan Anima(tor)’s Exhibition website, linked below.
