Ultraman Manga Animated as Motion Comic
To celebrate and promote the release of the 4th volume of the currently serialized Ultraman manga, a motion comic is being released.
Shimizu Eiichi and Shimoguchi Tomohiro’s Ultraman manga, currently serialized in Monthly Hero’s Magazine, saw its 4th volume published on March 5th and to celebrate, the entirety of the first volume is being animated as a motion comic.
Motion comics differ from traditional animation by expanding panels into full screen shots, occasionally adding inbetween animation, as well as featuring sound effects and a voice cast. The motion comic will feature a voice cast including the following:
Shinjiro Hayata: Kimura Ryōhei, Han Megumi (child)
Shin Hayata: Sugō Takayuki
Ide Mitsuhiro: Masashi Ebara
Bemular: Isobe Tsutomu
The manga serves as a sequel to the original Ultraman TV series, seeing Shinjiro Hayata, the original Ultraman host’s son, don an Ultraman armor that allows him to grow giant to fight off new threats. As of this posting, the first two episodes have been uploading, with four more episodes comprising the rest of the first volume to be released.
