Original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger Actor To Return In Beast Morphers

Austin St. John is confirmed to return as Jason Scott in Power Rangers Beast Morphers.

Austin St. John, the actor behind the portrayal of Jason Lee Scott, is confirmed to appear in Power Rangers Beast Morphers.

The original Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger (of the 1993 American adaptation of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger) will once again be teaming up with the current line-up of Power Rangers in season 2 of Power Rangers Beast Morphers . This marks the actor’s first return to reprising the character since the 2001 Power Rangers Wild Force anniversary episode, “Forever Red”.

Austin St. John has also made a number of other reappearances as Jason within the show’s history, most notably returning to the franchise to become the second Gold Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo in 1996. Additionally, he had a smaller role in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997.

Additionally, it appears that the Beast Morpher team will also be teaming up with many more veteran Rangers as well. While no other actors have been officially confirmed by Hasbro to reprise their roles, the season 2 trailer featured a brief glance of returning Power Rangers (suited up) from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, and Power Rangers Dino Charge. A similar concept was seen done in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters: The Great Dinosaur Battle! Farewell Our Eternal Friends (the Japanese counterpart team-up movie to both the Dino Charge and Beast Morpher Rangers).

Season 2 is expected to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2020.
