Kamen Rider Brain Miniseries Announced
The two episode miniseries will be directed and written by Kamen Rider Drive staff members.
Shota Matsushima will reprise his role as Brain, one of the main enemy Roimude characters from the 2014-15 Kamen Rider series. Kyohei Yamaguchi, who directed various episode of Kamen Rider Drive will serve as director while Drive head writer Riku Sanjo will pen both episodes.
Although a Kamen Rider Brain production was “teased” with a 2035 release date back in 2017 as part of Toei’s April Fools day pranks, Matsushima insists this time is the real deal.
Commenting on the production, Matsushima said:
Ladies & Gentlemen! Did you see?
Did you hear? How wonderful!
Finally, finally I am a Kamen Rider.
Me, an unparalleled strength, with a clear headed brain and an attractive face and figure, and much like Chase and Heart, my time has rolled around!
You understand out there, everyone? Yes, I, Brain, will be the last new Heisei Kamen Rider!
The two episode series will be made available exclusively through the Toei Tokusatsu fanclub beginning on April 14th with the 2nd episode coming the following week.
