Shun Oguri Makes Hollywood Debut in Godzilla vs Kong

The Gintama star will be making his debut in the forthcoming Godzilla, King Kong feature.

Oguri, well known for his role as Gintoki in the live-action Gintama movies, has also appeared in the Crows Zero movies, penned by Kamen Rider Build‘s head writer, Shogo Muto. Shun Oguri also portrayed Lupin in the 2014 Lupin the 3rd live-action feature.

This will be his first role in a Hollywood production and he joins Ken Watanabe, returning from the 2014 Godzilla. Other cast members include Alexander Skarsgard and Demian Bichir.

Godzilla vs King is scheduled for release on May 22nd, 2020 while May 31st, 2019 sees the release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is described as:
