Go Nagai to appear as Guest of Honor at Anime Expo 2018

Go Nagai will attend Anime Expo 2018 in Los Angeles as a Guest of Honor.

Kiyoshi Nagai, who uses the pen name Go Nagai, was announced on July 8th as a special Guest of Honor for the Los Angeles-based convention, Anime Expo. His name is most commonly connected to the number of series he has created, such as Devilman, Cutie Honey, and Mazinger Z. He is credited with creating the Super Robot genre in manga and anime, and for originating the first designs of a mecha robot with a pilot in the cockpit.

One of Go Nagai’s very first jobs in the business was being assistant to Shotaro Ishinomori, the creator of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.

He will appear in a special panel to talk about the world of Cutie Honey Universe as well as participate in autograph sessions and contribute items to the AX Charity Auction.
