SHATTERED GRID continues to be as epic as promised in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #27 as battles are fought and new alliances are forged on both sides. First, we get to see the continuing struggles of the resistance against Lord Drakkon and his sentries in the dark alternate universe. Even Skull gets to be cool in the darkest timeline. Things shift back over to the main timeline right away as we catch up on the Rangers regrouping from last week’s climatic battle at the home of the Samurai Rangers.

That’s when things go from bad to worse as the Rangers realize just what Drakkon could be doing with the stolen morphers and captured rangers. They are called to the command center as Lord Drakkon begins his assault on every Ranger team in existence with anti-power ranger weaponry. The art is also at it’s best this issue with Daniele Di Nicuolo drawing many different Power Rangers’ characters that are distinct and recognizable. His energetic style makes every fight scene and two page spread amazing to look at.

As the Rangers see just what they’re up against, they attempt to make contact with any other team they can and begin hatching a plan to strike back at Lord Drakkon. While things seem to be going poorly for the majority of Rangers out there, RPM and Doctor K are at least temporarily standing against the odds and manage to contact the MMPR team to request their aid. The uniting of the Rangers begins as the MMPR team and their new allies go out to rally those that can still stand against Lord Drakkon.

SHATTERED GRID once again continues its fast pace, epic story with great art and writing by the teams at BOOM! Studios. The story will continue next month in Go Go Power Rangers #10.
